Industrial visits
(not included in the conference fee)
The day after the conference participants can take part in industrial visits. Four different visits will be proposed by organizers (availability will depend on number of takers):
- Huta Labedy SA – a Polish Steel Factory located in Gliwice that has achieved the distinguished position among the best renowned and appreciated suppliers of metallurgical services and products in Poland, in particular products for mining industry and civil engineering.
- Power Electronics at Silesian Special Economic Zone, Subzone Gliwice – visiting the most important power electronic companies located at the Zone (e.g. Aiut, Ente, Avio Polska, BMZ).
- Opel Manufacturing Poland Sp. z o.o – the biggest car factory located in Gliwice employing near 3000 people with the facility area exceeding 700 000 sq. meters.
- FCA Poland and the Duke’s Brewery in Tychy – the visit combines FCA car factory, one of the biggest in Europe, producing such car brands as Fiat500, Lancia Ypsilon and Ford Ka with a visit in the brewery (museum and the factory). The brewery is one of the oldest breweries in Poland founded in 1629 and one of the most famous beer brands.
